2009 CWC CC Championships earn 2 WF runners All-Conference

On a damp and dreary day, the Wega-Fremont Cross Country teams competed and put their hearts on the line in Marion on Thursday, October 15, 2009.
The Rosholt Boys Team, led by CWC Champion Ryan Wierzba dominated the boys team results, as well as the all-conference awards. Rosholthad three first team all-conference runners, and three 2nd Team all-conference athletes.
Meanwhile the Lady Chargers, led by their dynamite sophomores, Jenny Berndt and Kendall Wormuth and freshman Megan School captured three First Team Honors along with Leah Vosters 7th Place finish and demolished a strong field to win the CWC title handily.
Leading the way for the Indians were Honorable Mention All-Conference efforts by sophomore Ellen Schroeder for the girls, and junior Graham Young for the boys.
In the final team standings, the Girls managed to take home a fifth place finish, while the boys came home in 7th place out of ten schools.
